Prescription Only Medicines given through a PGD
At Q-S Health Hub, we supply Prescription-Only Medicines (POMs) under a Patient Group Direction (PGD)—a legal framework that allows our pharmacists to provide certain medications without a traditional prescription, following strict clinical guidelines. Here’s our step-by-step process:
Step 1: Complete the Online Form at the bottom of the specific service page you need whilst making sure to provide essential details (medical history, current medications, etc.)
Step 2: Identity Verification (Persona)
You’ll undergo a secure ID verification process using Persona to confirm your identity. This ensures compliance with pharmacy regulations and patient safety.
Step 3: Our pharmacist conducts a quick clinical check based on your submitted details. If eligible, we’ll book you for an in-person consultation at Q-S Health Hub.

Step 4: In-Person Consultation (Mandatory)
You’ll meet with our pharmacist for a face-to-face assessment. We’ll discuss your needs, confirm suitability, take GP details and ensure safe use of the medication.
Step 5: Medication Supply (If Approved)
If the pharmacist deems the supply appropriate, you’ll receive your POM medication immediately in person.
Please note that PGD medications cannot be delivered, as an in-person consultation is required for each supply.
